A short guide to visiting Orlando

Orlando’s attractions are now too numerous to list them all, not to mention visiting them all.

There are now seven major theme parks and many other things to do in Orlando, FL. I have a hard time doing most of them and I live here! Orlando’s attractions are now too many to see in one vacation, unless you’re on constant vacation and / or retired, and then there may be too many!

The main attractions are Disney The Magic Kingdom, Disney EPCOT, Disney Hollywood Studios, Disney Animal Kingdom, SeaWorld, Universal Studios, Universal Islands Of Adventure (IOA), Discovery Cove, Wet ‘n Wild, Disney Typhoon Lagoon, Disney Blizzard Beach, Downtown Disney, CityWalk, Gatorland.

The main tourist “alleys” are Hwy 192 (also known as Irlo Bronson Hwy), International Drive (also known as I-Drive). Attractions are generally found throughout these areas, but can be anywhere in Orlando like Gatorland (South Orange Blossom Trail – OBT or SOBT) on the county line between Orange and Osceola counties.

The top dinner shows are Arabian Nights, Medieval Times, Al Capone’s, Sleuths, Pirates Dinner Adventure, Central Florida Improv, and Fiasco’s Dinner Show. Each one has its own unique eye-catching show!

Other attractions include hot air balloon rides, airboat rides and excursions, helicopter tours and excursions, indoor skydiving, indoor surfing, Ripley’s Believe It Or Not, Wonder Works, and many more.

Orlando’s top shopping areas for Orlando visitors are Downtown Disney, Florida Mall, Mall at Millennia, Prime 1 Outlets, Premium Outlets, various Orlando gift shops, and Florida’s best flea markets.
