History of hydraulic jacks

Hydraulic jacks are widely used throughout the world. They have a lot of relevance in today’s age as they have made an incredible contribution in making our life much more comfortable than it was before. History

The origin of hydraulic jacks dates back several years to when Richard Dudgeon, owner and inventor of hydraulic jacks, opened a machine shop. In the year 1851, he was granted a patent for his hydraulic jack. In the year 1855, he literally amazed onlookers in New York when he drove from his home to his workplace in a steam carriage. It produced a very strange noise that disturbed the horses, so its use was limited to a single street.
