What you see: This Hyderabad pub in the super-fancy Taj Krishna has pretty well replaced the popular T2 nightclub and disco (which, ironically, was The Tunnel Version 2, hence the name). Now, when a five-star hotel decides to do a lounge, you know they’re going to do everything they can. So you’ll see gondola-shaped tables and potpourri of rose petals setting the mood here to ensure you have a relaxing evening.

The bridged entry into this spacious room gives you a panoramic view of the entire place. There are three wet bars, a fairly large dance floor, and even separate seating areas along the sides of the room if you’re hosting a private party. The European-style interiors are tastefully decorated, with the predominant colors being maroon, red and cream.

What You Get: When it comes to music, the DJs here play different stuff every night. So you can dance to house music one day or dance to hip-hop the other. Some great Bollywood remixes are also played on Saturday nights. This lounge has great food and drink options. Aside from all the usual suspects, the cocktails here are pretty authentic. From Tom Collins to Bloody Mary’s, the drinks here are great. As for food, the cuisine is mainly European with some delicious treats from Pan-Asian food. European entrees are the popular choice so definitely give them a try. As for prices, there is an entry charge of Rs 1000 per couple, which can be redeemed inside for drinks and food. Drinks and snacks for two are Rs 2,000. Domestic wines are priced at around 500 rupees.

Our verdict – This is the place to be to let your hair down. The decor gets our thumbs up and the music, we can assure you, will make you dance the night away. This place is the best on Saturday nights. The salon gives a feeling of elite exclusivity. The valet takes care of the parking, so there are no problems. The only thing you may need to worry about may be the prices. But then it is apart of a five star hotel. So it means that your drinks and food here will be much more expensive.
