Get a high Page Rank in Google

Google is among the leading search engines on the World Wide Web. Most users on the Internet prefer to use Google as their main search engine than all the others put together. For this reason, it has become imperative that your web address, site, blog, or article rank as high as possible on Google search results pages. However, this is not as easy as is often thought.

Internet marketers and search engine optimization professionals use several different methods to achieve a higher page rank. Not all of these techniques are always effective due to various market factors and also because Google tends to change its policies to get rid of those people who use unacceptable methods to rank high.

The most basic technique to get a good page rank is to have keyword rich content. Keyword research thus becomes the most critical phase of any Internet marketing strategy because that is what will define the entire plan. Keywords need to be chosen carefully and then carefully embedded into the main body of the content, be it a website, article or blog. Balancing keyword density is another area that needs attention. The article should not be cluttered with keywords and should not be too watered down. Ideally, keyword density should be between 3-5%. Going a little higher or lower is fine, but going below 2% is just as bad as going over the line. Once you have your keywords, you need to frame the content to fit perfectly without distorting the language and stay within density limits.

The average length of articles and blog posts is pegged at around 500 words because users tend to read only that many and then move on. For a 500-word article, keywords should be repeated 4-6 times, with minor fluctuations being acceptable. This is known as optimizing content for good page rank.

Another thing you should do is use blog or article directories that have a good page rank in Google. For example, Blogger.com ranks much higher on Google than other blogging websites, so it’s best to use Blogger if you’re optimizing for Google. Using a low ranking website will also affect the ranking of your blogs. There are many tools that can help you check the page rank of various sites. You can find them by doing a search.

Page linking also affects your page rank. The more websites or blogs that link to yours, the higher your page rank will be. It also works the other way around. You can use a blog on Blogger or create a Squidoo post for the main website. Such cross-links to high-traffic websites will automatically give your own page rank a boost.

These are just some of the things you can do to get a higher page rank with Google. A good approach is to implement as many techniques as possible for maximum effectiveness.
