Maruti Suzuki India launched Maruti Kizashi on February 2, 2011. The simple meaning of Kizashi in Japanese is “a sign of great things to come”. The Kizashi is Suzuki Motor Corporation’s flagship model in the D-segment and Suzuki’s sixth global strategic model. It was previously launched in various markets such as the US and Japanese market. It is the Company’s fifth sedan for Indian customers. It currently competes against Volkswagen Jetta, Honda Accord, Honda Civic, Skoda Laura and other similar sedans in India.
Engine: It is equipped with a powerful 2.4-liter DOHC gasoline engine. It can produce a power of 178 hp at 6,500 rpm and 230 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. The displacement of the Kizashi is 2400cc. It will be available in 4-wheel drive options that can be turned on and off at the push of a button. The engine is more reactive and faster with its 4 cylinders and 16 valves. This luxury sedan can generate a top speed of 2.5 kmph for automatic transmission and 215 kmph for manual transmission.
